Apporter du confort tout en respectant le chalet d'origine
L’objectif de cette prestation d’architecture d’intérieur était de conserver l’esprit d’origine du chalet, en y aménageant des éléments de confort contemporains et en ajoutant une extension.
Les murs, la structure ainsi que la toiture ont ainsi été intégralement conservés, mais l’intérieur du chalet a fait l’objet d’une rénovation complète. Pour créer 5 chambres ainsi qu’un dortoir sous combles, les différents planchers ont été déposés et remontés en demi-niveaux.
De façon à accueillir une extension, il fallait augmenter le coefficient d'occupation des sols de la parcelle, ce que permet l'obtention du label BBC Rénovation (Bâtiment basse consommation rénovation).
La modernisation du chalet s’est donc accompagnée d’une rénovation énergétique ambitieuse. L’isolation des murs et des rampants du chalet a été entièrement refait. De nouvelles nouvelles menuiseries avec un double-vitrage performant ont été posées. De plus, une pompe à chaleur a été installée pour remplacer l'ancienne chaudière. Dans les jardins, on trouve un récupérateur d’eau de pluie pour arroser le jardin.
Une extension pour ouvrir les vues sur l’environnement
L’extension a été conçue sur la partie Nord-Ouest du chalet, afin d’ouvrir les vues sur le terrain situé à l’arrière de la maison. La façade extérieure de l’extension a été dessinée en cohérence avec la bâtisse d’origine, afin de donner l’impression d’avoir toujours été là.
De grandes baies bénéficiant d’une double hauteur apportent à la cuisine un maximum de lumière naturelle.
Bringing Comfort While Respecting the Original Chalet
The aim of this interior design project was to preserve the original spirit of the chalet while incorporating contemporary comfort elements and adding an extension.
The walls, structure, and roof were therefore fully preserved, but the interior of the chalet underwent a complete renovation. To create 5 bedrooms and an attic dormitory, the various floors were removed and reinstalled at split levels.
To accommodate an extension, it was necessary to increase the plot's floor area ratio, which is permitted upon obtaining the BBC Rénovation (low-energy renovation building) label.
The modernisation of the chalet was therefore accompanied by an ambitious energy renovation. The insulation of the walls and roof rafters was completely redone. New high-performance double-glazed windows were installed. In addition, a heat pump was fitted to replace the old boiler. In the garden, a rainwater harvesting tank is used to water the garden.
An Extension to Open Views onto the Surroundings
The extension was designed on the north-west side of the chalet, in order to open views onto the land at the rear of the house. The exterior facade of the extension was drawn in keeping with the original building, so as to give the impression that it had always been there.
Large double-height bay windows bring the kitchen a maximum of natural light.
